I am very active and enjoy everything from sports (particularly golf) and the outdoors, to movies, to entertaining (having friends over for dinner and playing cards or board games).
I am always up for new experiences and enjoy meeting new people.
I have been blessed with a wonderful family and great friends.
My favorite thing to do is walk along the beach. Water soothes my soul.
I meditate daily.
I have a big heart, a little emotional at times, and am very giving.


I think you'd call me a gregarious introvert, if that makes any sense. I enjoy getting out there and meeting new people, trying new things, but I greatly value my quality alone time, my solitude, and my time spent with my closest companion.

I have a career that I enjoy -- one that keeps me busy -- but it's all about being inspired to attain that healthy work-life balance. To that end, a personal goal is to re-discover things that bring me joy. My 'purely for fun' list for this year: a return to pleasure reading, a language class at UBC, some Flamenco guitar, a cooking class or two, and give skiing another try.

I have travelled some, but not nearly as much as I'd like. I have some catching up to do in that department. A couple of trips may be on the horizon -- one mindless beach trip to decompress in the Fall; one tour of Andalusia next Spring. Both would be much more fun with a sidekick. and I'd definitely be happy to save the aisle seat for someone special. Okay, the window. Maybe. I keep relatively fit, but I'm no gym junkie. An unapologetic urbanite, I do enjoy a good hike, long walks, the beach, but I don't do tents, and I'm not as outdoorsy as so many on here. I'm a quietly passionate person (still waters run deep); I like good food, good wine, and good company. I also think I'm a pretty good listener, but getting back to me ... ;)

I appreciate wit (mine's a bit on the dry, cheeky side), charm, intellect, fashion sense, humility, affection, introspection, and kindness; someone who isn't too self-absorbed (bit boring) or coy (ditto). I'm relatively housebroken, can string a sentence together, and know which one is the salad fork.


Ideally, a relationship worth investing in long term is the goal, but definitely baby steps for me. Serious or casual, it all begins with a first date. If this piques your interest, drop me a line -- we can check each other for compatibility cooties after that.
