I’m not one to talk much about myself, but if you want to get to know me, here goes. I’ve always found peace in things that require patience, like writing. I’ve just started my first novel, which feels a bit surreal. It’s like I’m finally putting down thoughts I’ve had for years but never quite knew how to express. Funny how simple things can become complicated once you try to pin them down.
Gardening’s much the same. I’ve been growing tomatoes and chilies, though they seem to have a mind of their own—blooming once and then withering away. Maybe I care too much when what they really need is space to thrive. I guess it’s a lesson in letting go. Lately, I’ve taken up building plant boxes, and there’s something deeply satisfying about working with my hands—feeling the wood, the weight of the hammer. There’s something calming in that process, like a connection to something old we’re slowly losing.
In life, I’ve always tried to plan ahead, but it doesn’t always follow the script. Things get messy, but I’ve learned that those imperfect moments hold their own beauty. Nothing worth doing ever comes easy, and the journey is often more important than the destination.
